About SICL

SICL is the fundraising arm of the Saskatchewan Association for Community Living [SACL], an advocacy, volunteer-driven organization that was started in 1955 by families who had a member with a disability. Today, families remain the core of SACL as we work to ensure that people with disabilities are supported and included in their communities. All the funds raised by your donation of used clothing and household items support the programs of SACL across Saskatchewan.  » Click here to visit the SACL website

SICL was incorporated as a non-profit organization in Saskatchewan in 1989. At that time we also signed our first agreement with Value Village Thrift Department Stores and so began more than 20 years of collecting and recycling donated items from across the province. Since 1989 we have recycled millions and millions of quality household items.

After SICL picks up your donation it is then sold to Value Village Thrift Department Stores in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Regina. All the money we receive from selling your donation to Value Village stays right here at home in our province.

Community Living, as we are most commonly known, relies on your donation of reusable clothing, household and other quality items so that we can continue to support people with disabilities and their families.
